I want us to be men of God. As men of God, we need to be in community. I love that we're all good friends. But more than being good friends, we need to be a community wherein which we are united in one thing. What is that thing?
Jesus Christ. We need to be united in Christ. Hebrews 10:24-25
Hebrews 10:1-23
Hebrews 10:26-39

Repentance:
False repentance:
True repentance or false repentance?
How do we know if we are false repenting?
How do we know if we are true repenting?
True repentance is:
Only Jesus can fix us as we look towards God. Sin is not a behavior we do. It's more of a condition. It's a sickness. Lifestyle repentance: A way of living. Something continuous. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. -Revelations 3:19 This is just a test
-David Choi quoted this in his message:
“It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest most uninteresting person you can talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare...There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations - these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit - immortal horrors or everlasting splendors.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory What is C.S. Lewis' main point? How does it relate to evangeli sm? -Read Matthew 24:14. What does this verse show about God's heart and plan for this world? -If everyone in this room committed to discipling one new person for Christ every year and taught that person to also do the same. What would happen in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? 30 years? -How does the gospel motivate you to share the gospel? -We are supposed to be the light and salt of the world. When you are with your friends, do you act like a light and salt? Are you a strong influence on others or are others a strong influence on you?
The purpose of this study is to get students to see the importance of being born again.
What do you guys think of new year's resolutions? What is the purpose of new year's resolutions? Why do you think it's so hard to keep new year's resolutions? New year's resolutions are hard because there is something deep within us that is wrong. Something is wrong:
We live in a fallen world. It might be possible to fix ourselves, but you need to understand that what we are really fixing is just our outward appearance.
We need a deep change from the inside. We need a new heart, a new life. Sin is a disease. It changes our bodies and our lives to do things that it wasn't meant to do. We're sick. When you have a disease what do you do? Having new year's resolutions apart from Christ:
We cannot fix ourselves. But it is possible for us to be changed from the inside out. Our one and only hope: Jesus Christ. He is the great physician. Through him, we can become born again. John 3 v1-3:
Let's look at the fruits of the spirit: Gal 5:16-26 New year's resolutions are fine, but we first need to be born again. Are you indeed born again? Or are you just disguising yourself to look born again? Bibliography:
